Hanoi (VNA) – Toyota Motor Vietnam(TMV) will hold four concert nights themed “The romantic love songs” in HCMCity, Hanoi and central Vinh Phuc province in August.

The Toyota Concert 2017 will take place inHCM City on August 6, at the Hanoi Opera House on August 25-26 and at Vinh PhucTheatre on August 19.

The annual concert will be conducted byJapanese Honna Tesuji and feature performances by Vietnamese pianist Nguyen VietTrung, singers Dang Duong and Dao To Loan and the Vietnam National SymphonyOrchestra.

This is the 20th year of theevent which aims to bring classical music to local musiclovers. All money raised from ticket sales will be donated to the “Toyota Musical Scholarship for Vietnamese Young MusicTalents” programme.-VNA

Vietnam Film Week brings Vietnam, Laos closer

According to the organisers, the works contributed to strengthening Vietnam–Laos friendship, bringing the two peoples closer together. The stories, images and messages conveyed in each film not only held artistic value but also carried cultural and historical depth, vividly illustrating the enduring solidarity between the two nations.

Winners of 13th International Photo Contest honoured in Hanoi

The organisers received 13,236 works from 1,054 photographers representing 31 countries and territories. In addition to the prestigious awards presented by the VAPA, this year’s contest was sponsored by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), which grants Medals and Honourable Mentions (HM) for the four sections: Open Colour, Open Monochrome, World in Focus, and Portrait.

Germany’s Tübingen Academic Orchestra to perform in Vietnam

The two-night concert will feature the Tübingen Academic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Philipp Amelung, alongside Professor–guitarist Dang Ngoc Long and pianist Nguyen Viet Trung. Guest performers include young violinist Do Phuong Nhi and cellist Tran Hong Nhung.
