The annual Toyota Classics, which is turning in the seventeenth year in Vietnam, will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from August 1-11 before travelling to Buon Ma Thuot city of Central Highlands Dak Lak province.
With the engagement of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, violist Tran Thi Mo and singer Tung Duong, who will join other artists to perform various genres of music, the concert is expected to enchant audience with the best melodies.
This will become more special for Central Highlands music lovers as it is the first time such major event has come to the region on the occasion of 2014 National Tourism Year themed “High Mountains and Thick Forests of the Central Highlands”.
The event is organised by the Vietnam Toyota Foundation and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
The proceeds from the concert have been donated to the Toyota scholarship to nurture young Vietnamese music talents since 2009.
Toyota Classics has been organised annually from the mid-1990s with many tours to countries in the Asian Pacific region. It was first held in Vietnam in 1998.-VNA
