ToyotaMotor Vietnam (TMV) and the Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF)on December 30 signed a one-year contract to sponsor the nationalpremier league, which will begin on January 3 nationwide.

The tournament will be called Toyota V-League 1-2015 under the new sponsorship.

"Withthe support of Toyota Motor Vietnam, VPF and the organising board, wewill try our best to contribute to the season with the spirit of fairplay, high quality and competitiveness," VPF General Director Pham NgocVien shared at a press briefing in Hanoi.

"Toyota has beenworking in Vietnam for nearly 20 years. We believe that as the mainsponsor, Toyota will lend a helping hand to push the national footballteam to a higher level," disclosed TMV President Yoshihisa Marutathrough an interpreter.

"We also hope that our cooperation withJ. League, which aims to extend assistance by sending their experts towork with Vietnam's football organisation and management, will provideus with a better future. Local audiences will enjoy all matches, whichwill be fair and healthy," he shared. He also added that TMV willcontinue to discuss their plans for the succeeding years with VPF.

Toyota has backed different sports activities in Vietnam for years.

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
