Transport sector sets record pace in disbursement

The transport sector’s seven-month disbursement reached 5.2 trillion VND, the highest speed so far, and a year-on-year increase of 71.5 percent.
The transport sector’s seven-monthdisbursement reached 5.2 trillion VND, the highest speed so far, and ayear-on-year increase of 71.5 percent.

According tothe Ministry of Transport, the speed of disbursements for large-scaleprojects in particular, accelerated, hitting 4.7 trillion VND, anincrease of 70 percent over the same period last year.

Government bonds for transport works were disbursed to the tune of 5.46trillion VND, up by 86.6 percent compared with last year.

Other capital sources across the board also saw impressive disbursement rates.

With these results, the transport sector is focusing on quickening theimplementation of its key transport projects, especially those stillpending.

In seven months, the Sai Gon-Trung Luong highway project has completeda workload worth 1.98 trillion VND with 677 billion VND disbursed. Thisyear, the project was also advanced two trillion VND to achieve thegoal of opening to traffic by the year’s end./.

Vietnam Airlines to launch direct Hanoi–Amsterdam service on June 16

Under the plan, the Hanoi–Amsterdam route will commence operations on June 16, 2026, with an expected frequency of three return flights per week using modern wide-body Airbus A350 aircraft. This will be the first direct air link between Vietnam and the Netherlands, helping to shorten travel time and enhance connectivity between Vietnam and one of Europe’s key economic, logistics and aviation transit hubs.
