Two int’l sports channels broadcast exclusively on MyTV

Hanoi (VNA) - MyTV platform of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) on January 16 launched two international exclusive sports channels,SPOTV and SPOTV2.

The channels will provide sports enthusiastswith exclusive access to various international tournaments, including the GrandPrix motorcycle racing (MotoGP), the USOpen Tennis Championships (the US Open), the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, the BWF World Tourand BWF Major Events, GolfMajor The Open and The Masters, and the World TableTennis Championships.

The exclusive television channels will alsobroadcast the Saudi Pro League in the 2024-2025 season which brings together manyworld-class stars. In addition to football, viewers can enjoy a variety of sportstournaments such as basketball, volleyball, figure skating, and athletics, amongothers.

MyTV is the top pay-TV service provider in Vietnam with nearly 200 channelsand 70,000 hours of Video on Demand (VOD). MyTV offers a diverse contentlibrary, making it a prominent player in the national market.

According to Deputy General Director of VNPT-Media Nguyen Son Hai, the inaugurationof SPOTV and SPOTV2 aligns with MyTV's content strategy and marks a significantmilestone as MyTV officially re-introduces international sports channels to itsaudience after a two-year absence from the Vietnamese market.

Owned by media conglomerate Eclat of the Republic of Korea (RoK), SPOTV andSPOTV2 are currently available in 10 countries and territories in Asia. Theyare accessible through 14 major PayTV infrastructures, including Astro & TMof Malaysia, True Visions of Thailand, Singtel & StarHub of Singapore, SkyCable & Cignal of the Philippines, Univision of Mongolia, Macau Cable TV ofMacau (China), PCCW of Hong Kong (China), as well as MNC Vision, K.Vision,First, and Useetv of Indonesia, with  over 20 million subscribers./.

November 24, 2026 marks the first Vietnamese Culture Day, meant to put the Politburo’s Resolution 80-NQ/TW on cultural development into practice. Po Klong Garai: Cham towers preserving centuries of history

The complex comprises three main structures: the Chinh (Main) Tower, Cong (Gate)Tower and Lua (Fire) Tower. The Main Tower stands about 20.5 metres tall, featuring a square base and tiered roofs that narrow towards the top. The Fire Tower, with its distinctive boat-shaped curved roof, adds a contrasting feature to the ensemble. Columns, niches, lotus motifs and decorative patterns adorn the brick walls.

This year, 30 contestants from 15 countries entered the competition, with five finalists set to compete on October 10 at Ballhaus Prinzenallee in Berlin. The programme also includes a gala concert, masterclasses and a guitar exhibition. Long’s compositions have been selected as compulsory pieces, introducing international musicians to Vietnamese music.
