The two Koreas’ top nuclear envoys will meet in Beijing , China on September 21 to decide when to resume bilateral negotiations on the DPRK’s nuclear development programme, according to the RoK’s Yonhap news agency.
The DPRK walked out of the nuclear negotiations in April 2009 in protest against the UN Security Council’s condemnation of Pyongyang ’s missile launching and strengthening of sanctions against the country.
In another sign of improvement in the relations between the two Koreas, a newspaper for DPRK people in Japan said on September 17 that Pyongyang is ready to hold negotiations on the Kumgang tourism programme if Seoul shows a positive attitude towards this issue./.
