HCMCity (VNA) – Vietnam’s U18 football squad and their coach Hoang AnhTuan jetted off to Japan on July 15 for a training camp in preparation for theAFF U18 Championship and AFC U19 Championship.

Aheadof the departure, Tuan left out a number of players from the official squadlist, and called up others following their impressive performance in the VietnameseNational U17 Football Championship.

Duringthe 11-day training camp, the Vietnamese footballers will play three friendlymatches against teams from Kanagawa University on July 17, Sanno University onJuly 21, and Nihon Kougakuin University on July 24.

Thesquad will return to Vietnam on July 26 to make final preparations for the upcomingAFF U18 Championship 2019, which is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh Cityand Binh Duong province from August 6-19.-VNA

Vietnam to send 498-member delegation to 20th ASIAD in Japan

The delegation comprises top athletes competing in key sports including athletics, shooting, swimming, martial arts (wushu, karate, taekwondo and jujitsu), sepak takraw, rowing, canoeing, football, volleyball, golf, fencing and weightlifting. It will also include officials, doctors and international experts.
