Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam U22 football team will has a friendly match with a team of all stars of the Korea Professional Football League (K League) in Hanoi on July 29.
The match will help the national squad prepare for the upcoming 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia and 2018 AFC U-23 Championship qualifying round.
Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) general secretary Le Hoai Anh said the event is a chance for the team to review its capacity and resources before heading for training in the Republic of Korea.
K League General Secretary Han Oungsoo lauded the achievement the Vietnamese football made recently, particularly the participation of the local U20 team in the FIFA U20 World Cup in the RoK.
He said with efforts poured on training young players, Vietnam will soon consolidate its position in Asia.-VNA
