The UEFA Champions League trophy and Dutch football star Ruud Van Nistelrooy on April 3 arrived in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time in a campaign entitled “Road to the Final” hosted by Heineken.
Vietnamese football lovers will have a chance to experience the cup and join exchange programmes with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker in HCM City from April 4-5 and in Hanoi on April 6.
They can also enjoy an exhibition on the history of the UEFA Champions League – one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for top football clubs.
As many as 10 free tickets to watch the final of the UEFA Champions League 2014 in Lisbon , Portugal will also be up for grabs, along with 14 tickets for a leading world music and football festival this May in Ibiza , Spain .
Vietnam is the only Asian destination on the trophy’s tour around the world.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy is the most successful player in the history of the UEFA Champions League. He was the Champions League top scorer in 2002, 2003 and 2005 with 60 goals in 81 matches.
