US artists perform in Thai Nguyen to mark Vietnam-US ties

Musicians from Memphis, Tennessee in the US performed at the Viet Bac Art and Culture College in the northern city of Thai Nguyen on April 16 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the normalisation of US-Vietnam diplomatic relations.

The artistsentertained the audiences with performances in the soul, world beat,rock and jazz genres, including famous Spanish songs such asGuantanamera and El Sinaloense.

The show also included Vietnamese traditional music performed by the college students.

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
