The US has announced a 63 billion USD six-year plan to step up efforts to fight malaria, mostly in Africa, which is seriously threatened by the disease.
The plan targets 450 million people or about 70 percent of the highest-risk populations in sub-Saharan Africa . It also aims to cut malaria rates and limit the spread of malaria parasites that can resist treatment in Southeast Asia and America.
