US provides 3 million USD to help disabled people

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide 3 million USD to help disabled people in central Da Nang city and some other localities in Vietnam.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide 3 million USD to help disabled people in central Da Nang city and some other localities in Vietnam.

To this effect, an aid agreement for the Programme of Comprehensive and Integrated Support to People with Disabilities for the 2013-2015 period was signed between USAID and Da Nang representatives in the city on March 21.

Under the programme, supervisors in the sectors of labour, war invalids and social affairs, health care, education will be trained in social works, shift management and community-based functional rehabilitation for the disabled.

The programme will improve the quality of functional rehabilitation services and the capacity of professional staff while ensuring disabled children in Da Nang city go to school and the rate of people with disabilities getting jobs increases by 20 percent.-VNA
