Melrose Pyrotechnics of the US with a spectacular display overwhelmed four other teams to rank first at the 2013 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2013) that closed on April 30.
It was followed by Japanese and Italian teams as runners-up while the teams from Russia and the host Vietnam were placed third.
On the second night of the competition, the US team praised the beauty of Da Nang’s Han River through fireworks in various styles combined with music genres, leaving indescribable feelings in the audience’s hearts.
Meanwhile, the Japanese team painted a colourful picture of the Japanese garden over the Han River’s sky. Their skilfully performance lighted up the city’s sky at night.
Themed “Love of Han River”, the competition was the sixth of its kind hosted by the central city. The two-day event attracted nearly 400,000 domestic and foreign visitors, up 15 percent from 2012.
