Party General Secretary and President To Lam visited the families of late musician Van Cao and late painter Bui Trang Chuoc, who created the national anthem and the national emblem design of Vietnam, on September 2 on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day (September 2).

Music compositions and paintings by and behind-the-scene stories about famous composer, poet, and painter Van Cao (1923-1995) who composed “Tien quan ca” (The Marching Song) – Vietnam’s national anthem – will reach the public through an upcoming series of activities celebrating his 100th birthday.

President Vo Van Thuong, other Party, State leaders and former leaders attended an August 20 art performance in Hanoi to celebrate the 100th birthday of famous composer, poet, and painter Van Cao (1923-1995) who composed “Tien quan ca” (The Marching Song) – Vietnam’s national anthem.

Hanoi aims to mobilise 65.4 trillion VND (2.82 billion USD) for the metro line No. 5 connecting Van Cao and Hoa Lac, scheduled to be put into operation in 2026, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

The National Assembly Office held a ceremony in Hanoi on July 15 to receive the national anthem Tien Quan Ca (The Marching Song), donated by family members of late composer Van Cao (1923-1995).
