National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will suspend flights on all routes between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) from March 5, 2020, amid complicated developments of the acute respiratory disease caused by novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
The health sector needs to well prepare preventive measures with focus on early detection, epidemic fencing and quarantine although Vietnam has recorded no new SARS-CoV-2 infection cases since February 13, said Director of the Health Ministry’s Department for Medical Examination and Treatment Luong Ngoc Khue.
The Ministry of Health on March 7 afternoon confirmed the 18th COVID-19 infection case in Vietnam, who is a patient returning from the epidemic-hit Republic of Korea (RoK).
