The Venezuelan Culture Week in Vietnam opened on October 18, as a gift from the Venezuelan people to the country on Hanoi ’s 1,000 th anniversary and the 21 st anniversary of both countries establishing diplomatic ties.
An exhibition of photos and handicrafts also took place as part of the event. On display are more than 30 photos taken by photographer Rafael Salvatore portraying Venezuelan workers and farmers’ daily lives as well as Venezuelan garments and wooden products.
On this occasion, Venezuela ’s Ministry of Culture presented the book “La Cita de la Historia” (Historical Rendezvous) on Vietnam ’s General Vo Nguyen Giap, by the Monte Asvila Editorial Latino-americana Publishing House.
The week will also include a concert and seminars on Venezuela ’s 200 th Independence Day and Bolivar’s revolutionary achievements plus a selection of Venezuelan dances./.
