- Vietnam Airlines will offer 1,100 more flights tomeet travel demand during the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

The flagship carrier said in its latest press release that it will runadditional flights from January 31 to March 2 on the 15 domestic routes withstrong air travel demand. More than 220,000 extra seats will be made available,bringing total seats for the period to nearly 1.5 million.

Earlier this week, the carrier also launched a promotion programme for domesticflights around Tet, the nation’s largest holiday.

According to the promotion, a return ticket for flights between Ha Noi, Vinh,Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa and HCM City are priced from 999,000 VND (44 USD).

The return ticket price for flights between Da Nang, Hue, Quy Nhon and HCM Cityis set from 599,000 VND while those for flights between Buon Ma Thuot, Pleikuand HCM City are priced from 399,000 VND.

The sale programme is open from December 11 to December 31, 2017.

The promotion applies to customers booking one-way tickets from February 8,2018 to February 16, 2018, and return tickets from February 7 to March 2, 2018.-VNA
