Vietnam Airlines to increase Vietnam-India flights by 30%

Vietnam Airlines will operate one flight per day between Vietnam and India from March 26, raising the number of its flights between the two countries by 30% compared to the present.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlineswill operate one flight per day between Vietnam and India from March 26,raising the number of its flights between the two countries by 30% compared tothe present.

In particular, the national flag carrierwill operate four flights per week on the Hanoi - New Delhi route on Mondays,Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and three flights per week on the Ho Chi MinhCity - New Delhi route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The flight increase aims to meet thegrowing demand in bilateral passenger and cargo transportation.

On this occasion, Vietnam Airlinesoffers tickets at preferential prices for direct flights between Vietnam andIndia. Accordingly, a round-trip ticket are priced at a minimum of 7,113,000VND (about 302 USD), including taxes and fees, when being bought via the firm’swebsite, mobile app, and ticket offices or agents in Vietnam; and a minimum of 23,950INR (292 USD) when being bought via its ticket offices and agents in India.

The prices are applied for ticketspurchased from now to December 31, 2023 for flights departing between March26 and December 31, 2023.

In recent years, India has become oneof the leading trading partners with close and extensive relations withVietnam, especially in tourism. It is one of the 10 countries with the biggestsearch volume for tourism in Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines officially launched thedirect air route between Vietnam and India in June 2022. In the time ahead, it isset to open a new route to Mumbai, one of the largest economic, cultural, andsocial centres of the South Asian nation./.

Currently, the private economic sector comprises over 6.1 million business establishments, including approximately 940,000 registered enterprises and over 5.2 million household businesses.
