Vietnam bags 11 gold medals at 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships

Vietnam's kickboxing team secured 11 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals at the 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships that took place in Cambodia from October 8-13.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam's kickboxing team secured 11 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals at the 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships that took place in Cambodia from October 8-13.

With these achievements, Vietnam ranked third in the medal table, after Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The Vietnamese kickboxing team consists of 10 coaching staff members and 29 players competing in 34 events. Vietnamese players entered 22 final competitions of the tournament.

General Secretary of the Kickboxing Federation of Vietnam (KFC) Duong Ngoc Hai said that the tournament was a great opportunity for Vietnamese players to compete in the largest continental arena, so they can learn, accumulate competition experiences, and prepare for upcoming international tournaments, particularly the World Games.

He said that at the tournament, many Vietnamese players performed well, such as Huynh Van Tuan, Le Thi Nhi, and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ngan./.
