Vietnam and China share similarities in ideology, culture and society granting an important foundation for the two countries to collaborate towards socialism.
The comment was made by Han Qide, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), in a meeting with Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council Chairman Pham Phuong Thao on Feb. 2.
Han, who is also Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, said his trip to Vietnam aims to further strengthen the understandings and friendship between the two countries.
He expressed his interest and deep impression in Vietnam , stating he believed Vietnamese people would turn Vietnam into a strong country that contributes to peace and stability in the region and in the world.
Han Qide and his delegation visit Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations to participate in activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties./.
