All residents in Vietnam will get the chance to express their love for the country and its people through a photo and video contest launched in Hanoi.
The contest, titled My Country and I, has been organised by the Hanoi Culture, Sports and Tourism Department and the Hanoi Cultural Fund.
Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living, working and studying in the country are encouraged to share their precious moments and memories through their photos of the beautiful landscapes seen in every corner of the country.
"The contest will not limit the period for creating the photos and videos. The organisation board will verify the locations and the stories behind the works presented," Nguyen Khac Loi, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Tourism Department, said.
Contestants can enter up to five works in the online contest from September 15 to October 8, 2015.
The prizes will be awarded on October 10 to mark the 61st anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day. The organisation board will select the best work to reward, while three prizes will be awarded for each of the first, second and third places, which are to be decided according to the number of likes, shares and comments they receive on Facebook.
The prizes include 10 encouragement certificates, as well as cash and a gift.
Entries can be sent to the Hanoi Cultural Fund at 77 Hang Bo street, Hanoi.-VNA
