Vietnam has triumphed at the recent Asian Cup Rowing Championship which wrapped up on May 15 in Singapore, according to the Vietnam Sport Administration.
After five days of competition, the Vietnamese rowers grabbed eight gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
Pham Thi Thao and Ta Thanh Huyen won in the women's light-weight double sculls and LW2x women’s double sculls.
Le Thi An and Pham Thi Hue succeeded in the women's double sculls event and W2 women’s double sculls while Nguyen Van Duc and Nguyen Van Ha equaled this in the men's class.
Nguyen Van Linh topped the light-weight single sculls category for men and another single sculls category for men, LM1x.
The last gold went to quartet Tran Thi An, Pham Thi Hue, Cao Thi Hao, and Nguyen Thi Trinh who brought home the gold medal in the women's quad sculls.
The tournament from March 11-15, which included 16 teams and 229 competitors from 13 countries and territories, has helped the Vietnamese rowing team prepare for the 28 th SEA Games to be held in June in Singapore, said the Administration.-VNA
