Vietnam Football Federation, Man City to discuss future plan

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will meet with a representative from European football giant Manchester City for a collaboration plan in the future, said VFF Chairman Le Hung Dung.

The meeting hasbeen scheduled for February 9, during which the two sides will discussthe establishment of a football academy run by Manchester City inVietnam, Dung added.

They will also talk about other issues, suchas PR and marketing, brand name development and the scale of thetraining centre for young players.

According to the VFF chairman, the English team has seen its Vietnamese fans triple in the last three years.

Two years ago Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany had visited the country and taken part in various charity activities.-VNA
