The 5 th Japanese Technology Exhibition and the Vietnam-Japan Supporting Industries Exhibition 2013 will be held from September 4-6 in Hanoi, a Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) official has said.
Ta Hoang Linh, Deputy Head of the MoIT’s Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, which is the organiser of the events, said at a press briefing on May 9 that the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2013 will be held at the same time.
Linh said the Vietnam-Japan Supporting Industries Exhibition, with the participation of over 200 foreign businesses from 20 countries, will be a good chance for domestic businesses to access the latest technology provided by their foreign partners.
Hirokazu Yamaoka, Director of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) said the event, which comes as Vietnam and Japan celebrate their 40 th anniversary of diplomatic ties, is an opportunity for participating firms to seek partners and expand their network, while grasping new manufacturing trends.
The exhibition is expected to help Vietnamese enterprises improve their product quality, meeting the requirements of the Japanese market, while giving Vietnamese management officials a view of the role and situation of the country supporting industries, thus seeking suitable measures, policies and development direction for the sector.
Famous Japanese brand names such as Toyota , Mitsubishi, Panasonic and Honda will demonstrate new technological innovations at the event.
A workshop on policies to boost the development of supporting industries in Vietnam and cooperation programmes for businesses in the field will also be held.-VNA
