Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam- Laos-Cambodia Young Circus Talent Contest 2015 wrapped up in Hanoi on December 12.
After five days of competing from December 8-12, the judges awarded five gold and eight silver medals to the best performances selected from 34 items of more than 200 young artists from the three countries.
Accordingly, the five gold medals were presented to “Co gai va hoa hong” ( Girl and Rose) of the Lao National Circus; “Martial art” of the Cambodian National Circus; and three items of the Vietnam Circus and Vaudeville School - “ Co gai lang hoa” ( A flower village’s girl), performance on single bar and “Thieu nu trong tranh” ( Lady in the painting) .
The Organizing board also picked out the best director, the best coach and the most prominent young talent at the contest.
According to the organising board, the event provided an opportunity for young performers in the region to learn from each other for the development of the art.
The event is also a significant cultural activity, strengthening solidarity, friendship cooperation among the three countries.-VNA
