Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has suggested the Commissions for Inspection of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee closely coordinate and regularly share experience in inspection and anti-corruption.

At a reception for Bunthoong Chitmany, head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Inspection in Hanoi on August 28, the Party chief also urged the two sides assist each other in personnel training.

He said the Party, State and people of Vietnam will exert maximum efforts, together with Lao counterparts, to preserve and nurture the special solidarity between the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large.

Congratulating Laos on the major achievements the country has attained over the past time, the Party leader noted his hope that under the leadership of the LPRP, Lao people will fulfill targets set at the ninth National Party Congress, successfully organising the Party Congress at all levels and the 10th National Party Congress.

He also used the occasion to inform his guest about Vietnam’s preparations for the upcoming 12th National Party Congress.

Bunthoong Chitmany, who is also Inspector General, briefed his host on the situation in Laos, preparations for the 10th National Party Congress and outcomes of the talks with the CPVCC’s Commission for Inspection and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam.

He promised to closely partner with the two Vietnamese agencies in implementing high-level agreements between the two countries.

Earlier, the Lao delegation held talks with delegates from the CPVCC’s Commission for Inspection, during which the two sides reviewed their collaboration over the past time and discussed cooperation orientations in the time ahead. They also shared experience in inspection, discipline and anti-corruption.-VNA
