Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Lao Ministry of Science and Technology have vowed to boost their bilateral cooperation.
The agreement was reached when officials of the two ministries jointly held a seminar on the issue in the central province of Quang Binh on September 6. It is part of the activities to celebrate the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year in 2012, the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 35 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
At the event, the two sides assessed bilateral cooperation in science and technology in the past years and discussed future plans to boost their cooperation in the field.
The cooperation will be continued in personnel training, quality standard and measurement management, intellectual property right, information technology, and policy making, among others.
The two ministries also agreed to enhance their cooperation at multi-lateral organizations, and to join hands in scientific research at all levels.-VNA
