Vietnam ranked first at the second Southeast Asian Go Championship held in Malaysia from December 6-7, with 17 points.
Thailand came in second with 15 points and Singapore , third, with 14 points.
The five Vietnamese players showed their best performance at the tournament, bringing home one gold in team category and one silver and one bronze in individual’s event.
The first place is one of the steps for Vietnam to strongly develop go game in the time to come. The sport was introduced in the country in 1993.
