Two-way trade between Vietnam and Malaysia in 2012 is expected to expand 4.5 percent from 2011 to hit over 7 billion USD, according to Vietnam’s Commerce Office in Malaysia.
In the first ten months of this year, the bilateral trade registered nearly 6.53 billion USD, up 21.1 percent over the same period last year, said the office.
Of which, Vietnam raked in 3.76 billion USD from exports of rude oil, rubber, rice, computers and spare parts, coffee, seafood, steel and machine and equipments.
The country spent about 2.77 billion USD on imports from Malaysia, up 25 percent over the corresponding period of last year.
The S-shaped country is currently both the fourth biggest importer and exporter of Malaysia among ten ASEAN member countries, after Singapore , Thailand and Indonesia.-VNA
