Hanoi (VNA) –The Vietnam Offroad PVOIL Cup 2019 will take place at theVietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay Town on theoutskirts of Hanoi on September 28 – 29.

The event is organised by OTVCommunication JSC and Otofun Forum.

The competition, the largestof its kind in Vietnam, will attract more than 160 racers from 80 teams to show off their skills in 600 performances,according to organisers. They will compete in four categories – pick-uptrucks, SUVs, advance and open.

This year, the race willfeature a night-time adventure challenge while organisers will apply chip timing and scoring system to produce more accurate results.

Nguyen Duc Hoang, head of theorganising board, said it wants to host a safe,transparent, fair and fun race and to make it a festival for those who lovecars and sport.

The event aims to select talents tocompete in international events and encourage people to take part in socialactivities, he added.

Prizes are worth up to 600 million VND (25,800 USD) in total. –VNA
