Vietnam ousted from AFC U19 women’s champs

Vietnam was ousted from the AFC U19 Women’s Football Championship in Nanjing, China, after losing to Australia 2-5 in the third match of Group B’s qualifying round on October 22.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamwas ousted from the AFC U19 Women’s Football Championship in Nanjing, China,after losing to Australia 2-5 in the third match of Group B’s qualifying round onOctober 22.

Vietnam’s goals were scored byTuyet Ngan and Ha Thi Nhai in the 49th and 82nd minute, respectively.

Earlier, Vietnam lost to Japan0-8 and the Republic of Korea 0-5.

In another match played on October22, Japan beat the Republic of Korea 2-0.

The event saw four teams enteringthe semi-finals, namely Japan and Australia (Group B), the Democratic People’sRepublic Korea and the host China (Group A).-VNA
