Hanoi (VNA) - A sailing ship of the VietnamPeople’s Navy anchored at Changi port on April 23, beginning a four-day visitto Singapore that lasts until April 26.

Aboard the vessel, coded HQ-286 and named Le Quy Don, arenaval officers, sailors and last-year students from the Vietnam Naval Academy.

The Vietnamese guests were welcomed at the port byrepresentatives from the Republic of Singapore Navy.

The Singaporean navy representatives then made a visit ofthe Le Quy Don ship, during which they were introduced to the ship’s externalrelation activities in recent years.

During their stay, the Le Quy Don crewmembers will engage ina series of visits and exchanges with the Singaporean side.

The sailing ship belongs to the training ship fleet of theVietnam Naval Academy. It was designed by Poland’s Choren Design &Consulting and built by Marine Projects in 2014. The ship was launched in June1, 2015.-VNA

Two wanted for abusing religious cover to undermine national unity policy

The fugitives are Di (also known as Siu Di), born in 1941, and Dinh Yum (also known as Dinh Jum or Ba Koih), born in 1963, from Ba Na ethnic minority group in Gia Lai province, and hold Vietnamese nationality. They have been charged under Clause 1, Article 116 of the Penal Code for undermining the national unity policy.

Support delivered to Khmer households for traditional New Year

The province's delegation of National Assembly deputies, in coordination with relevant agencies, presented 600 gifts across 11 communes, including 100 in Tap Son commune and 50 in each of the others. The programme, worth 300 million VND (11,300 USD), was funded by Agribank’s Vinh Long branch.
