As a joint project between the Korea Institute for Advancement ofTechnology (KIAT) and Vietnam ’s National Agency for Science andTechnology Information (NASATI), the centre aims to facilitate theexchange of information on science and technology, especially newtechnologies, thus promoting cooperation activities between the twosides in this field.
The main tasks of the centreare to connect the two countries’ businesses, organise seminars andconferences on science and technology and human resource trainingprogramme, as well as boost technological transfer through exhibitions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, KIAT PresidentYong-Geun Kim affirmed the RoK side’s commitment to funding the centre’sactivities in order to boost the scientific and technologicaldevelopment of the two nations.
Also at theceremony, NASATI and KIAT signed a memorandum of understanding oncooperation in scientific and technological transfer./.
