Vietnam seeks investment from Japan’s prefecture

The Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a meeting in Hanoi on Sept 6 with businesses from Japan’s prefecture of Aichi to get their feedback on investment environment in Vietnam.
The Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a meeting in Hanoi on Sept 6 with businesses from Japan’s prefecture of Aichi to get their feedback on investment environment in Vietnam.

This kind of meeting has taken place regularly for both sides to update investment situation of investors from Aichi in particular and Japan in general, as well as find solutions to difficulties of the Japanese business community.

Do Nhat Hoang, head of the Foreign Investment Agency, said that Japan, biggest investor in Vietnam, now has 1,729 projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of 28 billion USD. Aichi prefecture accounts for 96 projects, mainly in the field of support industry.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Planning and Investment is on its way to implement synchronous measures, focusing on infrastructure upgrade, administrative reform and human resources improvement to attract more investment from Aichi and other Japanese prefectures.-VNA
