Vietnam sells over 1,170 tonnes of fruits in Q1

Vietnam shipped 1,179 tonnes of fresh fruits to the US , Japan , the Republic of Korea , and New Zealand in the first quarter of this year.
Vietnam shipped 1,179 tonnes of fresh fruits to the US , Japan , the Republic of Korea , and New Zealand in the first quarter of this year.

The figure included 952.4 tonnes of dragon fruits, nearly 147 tonnes of rambutans, 22.4 tonnes of longans, and 57 tonnes of mangos.

Dragon fruits are most favoured, with the US buying 532.9 tonnes, Japan , 227.5 tonnes, the RoK, 189 tones, and New Zealand , over 3 tonnes, according to the Post-Entry Quarantine Centre No.2 under the Plant Protection Department.

In 2014, Vietnam sold abroad a total volume of 3,662 tonnes of fruits.-VNA
