Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Vietnam will send the best young athletes to compete at the Asian U23 Wrestling Championship on June 15-18 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Among the six competitors, Nguyen Thi My Trang, Tran Anh Tuyet, Lai Dieu Thuong, and Dang Thi Linh are SEA Games defending champions.
Trang took her title in the women's 57kg. She is one of Vietnam's wrestlers with the most potential and is expected to get high results internationally.
Tuyet won in the women's 59kg. Thuong dominated the women's 68kg and Linh triumphed in the women's 76kg.
Vietnam is home to some of the strongest wrestlers in Southeast Asian. The team has dominated every SEA Games competition. In the two latest Games, Vietnam topped the medal tally in men's, women's and overall ranking, leaving all other teams far behind./.
