Vietnam have won 29 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze medals so far at the ongoing 16th ASEAN University Games in Vientiane, Laos.
Vietnamese athletes have claimed nine titles; taekwondo martial artists, eight; Muay Thai and karate fighters, four each.
Vietnam currently ranks second behind Malaysia , which has 36 golds, 23 silvers and 34 bronzes.
Thailand is in third with 22 golds, 29 silvers and 22 bronzes.
