Singapore wants to share its experience in business with Vietnamese young entrepreneurs and seek opportunities for investment and trade promotion, said a Singaporean senior official.
Many young entrepreneurs’ organisations have been set up in Singapore with members aging from 15-35 who are leaders of businesses and members of the country’s youth network, Singapore ’s Minister of Youth and Sports Teo Ser Luck said at a working session with the Ho Chi Minh City young businesspersons’ association on May 20 in HCM City.
The organisations run smoothly and make contributions to Singapore’s, economic development achievements, added the Minister.
Pham My Le, President of the HCM City young businesspersons’ association highlighted the role of the city’s young businesspersons and expressed wish to learn and exchange experience in business with Singapore ’s young partners, particularly in technology.
At the meeting, Vietnamese and Singaporean young entrepreneurs shared experience in support for the youth and youth-related issues, and discussed investment climate and potential of bilateral cooperation, particularly in information technology, beverage, retailing, construction, transport, maritime and education.
Minister Teo Ser Luck, who is also Chairman of the Singapore National Youth Council and Senior Secretary of the Parliament on community development, is leading a National Youth Council delegation including 13 officials and young businessmen, to visit Vietnam as part of a Vietnam-Singapore youth exchange programme from May 18-21.
During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to make a tour of outstanding enterprises managed by young businessmen in Ho Chi Minh City and pay a courtesy visit to the city’s leaders./.
