At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa is paying a State visit to Vietnam from October 23–24.

The two sides agreed to promote trade and investment as a motivation and crucial measure to achieve qualitative improvements in economic ties, matching market size and demand while ensuring mutual benefits. The leaders urged opening markets to each other’s key products and businesses, facilitating access to regional markets.

To further boost the bilateral relations, Vietnam and South Africa should focus on new areas of cooperation, such as green energy and just energy transition; e-commerce, banking and finance, and innovation; and tourism and investment.
