Vietnam strengthens TV cooperation with Russia, Belarus

Vietnamese Television (VTV) and the Russia Today television channel (RT) on Sept. 22 signed an agreement on exchange of TV programmes, experts, professional skills and other relevant fields.
Vietnamese Television (VTV) and the Russia Today television channel (RT)on Sept. 22 signed an agreement on exchange of TV programmes, experts,professional skills and other relevant fields.

The agreement was reached during the visit to Russia by a delegation VTV led by its Director General Tran Binh Minh.

Also on Sept. 22, the Vietnamese delegation made fact-finding tours ofbusiness facilities of Vietnamese people in Moscow and met withrepresentatives of the Vietnamese community in Russia to exploretheir demands for information.

The delegation onSept. 23 held a working session with the Russian State Television (RTR)to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two sides.

The delegation is scheduled to leave Russia for Belarus on Sept.24 and work with the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus inMinsk .

Both will compare notes on cooperationin TV programme production, personnel training, exchange of news,reports and documentary films, and share experience in areas of mutualconcerns./.

Vietnamese sports delegation leaves for ASIAD 20 in Japan

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16. The squad has set a target of winning at least four gold medals at ASIAD 20.
