Vietnam will talk about climate change in its play at the fifth International Puppetry Festival scheduled to be held in Hanoi from October 8 – 15.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will talk about climate change in its play atthe fifth International Puppetry Festival scheduled to be held in Hanoi fromOctober 8 – 15.

The play “Cong Chua Toc May” produced by the Thang Long Puppetry Theatre. The 45-minuteshow is a combination of different kinds of puppetry such as water puppetry,and rode and string puppetry.

Meritorious artist Nguyen Phuong Nhi said through characteristics in the fairyworld such as the mermaid, princess, prince, witch, and animals familiar tochildren like puppy, crow and python, the play conveys a message calling onpeople to join hands in combating climate change, protecting the environmentand saving energy.

The Cong Chua Toc May play will be performed widely to the public after the international festival.

The fifth International Puppetry Festival is expected to see the participationof puppetry troupes from Thailand, France, the Philippines, Brazil, Cambodiaand China.

Four Vietnamese art units – the Thang Long Puppetry Theatre, Vietnam PuppetryTheatre, Ho Chi Minh City puppetry art troupe, and Hai Phong puppetry art troupe,will join the event.-VNA
