The sixth European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival will be held in Hanoi from June 4-12 and Ho Chi Minh City from June 21-29.
The European Union National Institutes for Culture in Hanoi and the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio announced the event at a press conference on June 3.
A large number of documentary films will be screened during the festival, including nine produced by the national studio.
Five others by younger filmmakers from Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam will be showed on the Southeast Asian Film Day scheduled for June 7 in Hanoi and June 22 in HCM City.
Catrin Vogt, an experienced German film editor, will chair a talk on “Dramaturgical Editing of Documentary Films” for all interested professionals at a symposium slated for Hanoi from June 3-6.
Films will be screened at the national studio in Hanoi and at the Hoa Sen University in HCM City’s District 1.-VNA
