As many as 13 Vietnamese painters are taking part in the 5 th Beijing International Art Biennale (BIAB) exhibition in China.
Themed “Future and Reality”, the event is mainly showcasing paintings and sculptural works, which manifest artists’ concern about ecological crisis; impacts of climate change, sea water level rise, earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear pollution, religious conflicts and terrorism.
Founded in 2003, BIAB is jointly sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Government of Beijing Municipality and the China Artists’ Association.
This year’s exhibition is taking place at the National Art Museum of China, attracting the participation of 513 painters from 85 countries and territories across the world.
It will run until October 31.-VNA
