Tokyo (VNA) – The Vietnamese Association in Japan’s Aichi prefecture was officially established on March 10.

The 11-member executive board of the association for the 2019-2023 term was led by Le Anh Son.

The association is expected to build a united, strong and integrated Vietnamese community through experience sharing, mutual support and community-based activities.

Addressing the ceremony to announce the birth of the association, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam said the association will play an important role in helping Vietnamese support each other and promote their image to Japanese friends.

According to Japanese Minister of Justice Takashi Yamashita, over 300,000 Vietnamese living and working in Japan have actively contributed to the host country.
