Vietnam won three golds, one silver and two bronzes at the Thailand Open Track and Field Championships which ended at Thammasat University 's sports complex in Bangkok on Nov. 5.
Nguyen Van Lai won two gold medals in the men's 1,500m and 5,000m, while Nguyen Thi Oanh won a gold medal in the women's 400m hurdle, clocking in 55.75.
In addition, Oanh won a bronze medal in the women's 400m with a time of 55.75. The two first positions belonged to Sri Lanka athletes.
Bui Thi Xuan won a silver medal in the women's javelin throw with her result of 48.25m. The gold medal went to Thai Saowalak Pettong, 51.04m.
In the men's high jump, Tran Cong Phuoc won a bronze medal by managing to clear the bar at 2.04m. Chinese Taipei's Chun-Hsieng Hsiang and the Philippines Lasangue finished first and second, respectively.
