Vietnamese beauty featured at art exhibition in Norway

Outstanding pieces of art painted by renowned Vietnamese and Norwegian artists are being displayed in Norway’s Baerum city.
Outstanding pieces of art painted by renowned Vietnamese and Norwegian artists are being displayed in Norway’s Baerum city.

The works, which celebrate the beauty of Vietnam, form an exhibitionthat will run from April 11 through to May 3. The show has beenco-organised by the Baerum Kistforening Art Association andVietnamese-born architect Le Tan Sitek, who has worked determinedly tostrengthen art exchanges between the two countries.

Speaking at the event, the Baerum Council’s Morten Skauge said theexhibition presents an opportunity to bring Vietnamese art and beautycloser to Norwegians, thus consolidating the friendship and cooperativeties between the two nations.

The VietnameseAmbassador to Norway, Le Thi Tuyet Mai, remarked that the eventcoincides with the official visit of Norwegian Prime Minister ErnaSolberg to Vietnam, as well as the 40th anniversary of Vietnam’sNational Reunification (April 30, 1975).

Vietnamand Norway established diplomatic ties on November 25, 1971. In late2014, Vietnam offered visa exemptions to Norwegian visitors so that theyare allowed to enter and stay in Vietnam for up to 15 days withoutvisas, regardless of passport type and purpose of visit.-VNA

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
