Hanoi (VNA) - Boxers Luu Thi Duyen and Le Thi Bang have been invited to practise and compete in the US.

The two best female boxers of Vietnam will enjoy a one-month course in California which starts in early December.

It is expected that the Vietnam Sports Administration will cover another month for them.

Duyen (60kg category) and Bang (51kg category) will then take part in tournaments seeking official berths in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics next summer.

Duyen is the first Vietnamese female boxer who won a gold medal at the 27th Southeast Asian Games in 2013. She pocketed a bronze at the 17th Asian Games in 2014 in the Republic of Korea.

Bang is the SEA Games defending champion in her class and she also ranked third at the Korean Games.-VNA
