A delegation from Cambodia’s Battambang province led by Governor Prach Chan visited An Giang province from April 6-8 to seek agricultural cooperation opportunities with the Mekong Delta province.
They held a working session with local officials and agreed to continue creating the best conditions for their investment cooperation activities.
Governor Prach Chan expressed wish that An Giang will share experience in rice growing and aquaculture with Battambang province to help its farmers increase rice productivity and quality.
He also called on An Giang businesses to invest in agriculture in Battambang.
Secretary of the An Giang provincial Party Committee Phan Van Sau said that his province is always ready to support Battambang in such areas as agriculture, education and health.
The province will also receive Battambang officials and students to do agricultural research in the province, he said.-VNA
