Vietnamese cultural festival opens in Russia

A Vietnamese cultural festival has opened in the Russian city of Tula to mark the 60 th anniversary of Vietnamese-Russian diplomatic relations and the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
A Vietnamese cultural festival has opened in the Russian city of Tula tomark the 60 th anniversary of Vietnamese-Russian diplomatic relationsand the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The event was organised by Vietnamese students at the Internationalfaculty from Tula State. L.N Tolstoy Pedagogical University.

According to the Voice of Russia, the festival presented Vietnam as afriendly country through music, a fashion show of traditional costumes,an exhibition of cultural artifacts and the lives of Vietnamese ethnicgroups, the multimedia show “Vietnam – my love”, a photographyexhibition of Vietnam’s countryside and its people and specialVietnamese cuisine.

Chinese students at the university will also hold a similar event in the near future to celebrate Chinese year in Russia./.

The centerpiece exhibition features more than 100 documents, materials and photos, some made public for the first time. Vietnamese sports delegation leaves for ASIAD 20 in Japan

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16. The squad has set a target of winning at least four gold medals at ASIAD 20.
