Photos capturing the land, people and culture of Vietnam have attracted enthusiastic attention from international friends at the fifth “friends’ culture” fair that opened in Reforma Avenue, Mexico City, on May 25.
At the Vietnamese stand, visitors were impressed by the beauty of “Ao dai” (Vietnamese traditional long dress) and lacquer products.
They took the occasion to update information about the country’s popular destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Cham tower, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Cu Chi tunnel and voyages exploring the Mekong Delta.
Showing their special interests in Vietnamese cuisine, many visitors expressed their hope for soon opening of a Vietnamese restaurant in Mexico.
This year’s fair, which goes on until June 9, attracts the participation of 82 countries and territories across the world.
Apart from the photo exhibition, there will be music performances, film screenings, display of special dishes and typical games introduced by the participating countries.
The event is expected to welcome over 1 million people, the highest ever number since its inception in 2009.-VNA
